A Tranquil Nature Retreat

During my stay at Blyde River Wilderness Lodge, I was captivated by the serene and secluded ambiance of this hidden gem. The lodge's location amidst the untamed beauty of the African wilderness truly made me feel like I was lost in a jungle paradise. The diverse wildlife, including crocodiles and hippos, added an adventurous touch to my experience. The facilities were excellent, reflecting their commitment to ensuring a comfortable and secure stay. I particularly enjoyed the delicious food served, with their unpretentious home-cooked meals showcasing fresh ingredients. The beautiful gardens leading down to the river provided a peaceful backdrop for relaxation. It was a delight to wake up to the symphony of birds chirping, creating a soothing atmosphere. While the wifi was limited to the reception area, which was a minor inconvenience, it offered a much-needed digital detox.

Excellent staff, very accommodating for dietary restrictions. Beautiful location with giraffes, zebras, and more. Lovely room and two swimming pools to relax by. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed the beautiful garden setting and the opportunity to see wildlife. Loved the fact that there was a swimming pool available, and that breakfast and dinner were served outside in a lovely area. Also appreciated the scenic location, with easy access to nearby attractions.

The distance and the condition of the road leading to the hotel made it difficult to access and made excursions difficult. the staff's attitude was less hospitable, making it hard to get helpful information about the area.
