I recently had a short stop at this hotel while driving halfway to my destination, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious and clean, with all the comforts I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The location of the hotel, tucked away on a mountain, provided a beautiful view of the afternoon sun. It was a peaceful and quiet environment, perfect for a good night's sleep. Additionally, the inclusion of breakfast in the rate was a pleasant surprise, ensuring I started my day off right.

Being on a city break, we were in search of a hotel that could offer us a comfortable stay and some delicious food options. The staff at this hotel were extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. The best part of our stay had to be the fresh braai food that was cooked to perfection. The hotel's location was also great as it was in close proximity to all key attractions in the city. the range of amenities available at the hotel made our stay even more enjoyable.

Whilst our stay was largely enjoyable, we were slightly disappointed to find out that there were no early breakfast options available for those who had to leave early in the morning. This meant that we couldn't use our breakfast voucher as we had to leave before the restaurant opened.

We had a pleasant stay at Protea Hotel in Harrismith. The room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the mountains. The bathroom was spacious and had a heated floor, which was a nice touch. The hotel's location at the motorway services was surprisingly quiet, and we enjoyed sitting by the open fire in the reception area. The manager was incredibly helpful and recommended a great local pub for us to try. Although there were limited dining options, we discovered a hidden gem of a coffee house nearby that served delicious food. we had a good experience and would recommend this hotel for tired travelers in need of a comfortable stopover.
