We recently stayed at Selkirk House for 8 nights and it was the nicest guesthouse we've ever experienced. The beautiful contemporary design and tasteful furnishings, along with the delightful owners, made us feel right at home. The large, well-appointed bedrooms with seating areas provided ample space for relaxation. The quiet location near the golf course and nature reserve added to the tranquility, while still being only a few minutes away from town. The outside deck and pool were perfect for enjoying the surroundings. Truly a memorable stay.

Enjoyed a luxurious stay at this hotel with great service. Rooms were spacious, modern and spotlessly clean with exclusive amenities such as a private plunge pool and BBQ facilities. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of options and accommodating staff. the outdoor saltwater pool and sun loungers were perfect for relaxing.

The only minor issue was with the automatic lights in the bathroom being too bright at night. this hotel was the perfect escape for a luxurious and peaceful retreat with excellent service and exclusive amenities.

The hotel was spotless and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location, although away from the town centre, was close to Fernkloof Nature Park and Grotto Beach. The breakfast provided a good variety and was delicious.

selkirk house was beyond amazing. it felt like we were in a gorgeous mansion, with wide open spaces, a rooftop balcony with stunning mountain views, and modern facilities. the room was spacious, the bed was super comfy, and the bathroom had a fabulous shower. exceeded expectations!

No nearby restaurants for walking.

The breakfast offered freshly prepared omelettes and a delicious fruit salad. the rooms were very spacious and had a seating area. the location of the hotel was convenient as it was near the golf course and a nature reserve. Another advantage was the pleasant and friendly staff.

The hotel was not suitable for business trips due to slow internet speed and the lack of a proper work area. the noise from nearby construction sites was distracting and made it difficult to focus.

As a budget traveler, I was delighted by the value for money at this boutique hotel in the Western Cape. The immaculate appointment, stylish furnishings, and impeccable service exceeded all expectations. Every smallest detail was taken care of, and the breakfast was absolutely scrumptious. The management's presence and accommodating nature added to the overall experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and hope to return myself.
