I recently stayed at a hidden gem, nestled in the forest right on the coast. The Fernery Lodge & Chalets provided a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff members were all incredibly friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The "Owners Suite" we stayed in was spacious, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. We loved the two balconies that offered stunning views of the sea and gorge, where we were even able to spot baboons and vervet monkeys playing. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, and the facilities were top-notch. a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

One highlight was the option of having a top quality braai brought to our lodge, providing a unique and enjoyable dining experience. The location was also great, with easy access to a nearby national park.

The hotel was a bit overpriced compared to other options in the area. The lack of air conditioning was a downside, especially on hot days.
