Unbelievable setting on the river with jaw-dropping sunsets, private bird hide chalets, FANTASTIC staff.

we were warmly welcomed by lorraine on our arrival at tzamenkomst river lodge. the delicious 'home-cooked' dinner in the dining/bar area overlooking the orange river was a treat after our long journey. rooms were spacious, comfortable, and tastefully furnished. the location is easily accessible from the N1 and situated on the beautiful orange river with stunning views.

Located right by the Orange River and close to the N1 highway, this lodge offers a stunning view. the spacious rooms are elegantly designed with 5-star amenities. Guests can enjoy scrumptious meals and exceptional service. the lodge's setting by the river provides a tranquil escape. the lodge's separate bird hide units offer privacy and luxurious comfort. You can unwind in the upper bedroom with a wonderful bath and deck overlooking wildlife. the tasty breakfast served with a view of the Orange River adds to the overall experience.

Unbelievable luxury gem in the heart of the Karoo. Lodge room 2 was a haven of comfort with impeccable service. From the scorching heat by the pool to the delectable meals, it exceeded all expectations. Regretting not staying longer. The staff, especially Jean Marie, made our experience truly unforgettable.

Soggy journey, but oh that river view! Staff were ray of sunshine. Room comfy, decorated with a hint of charm. Delish dinner, brekkie set us on our way. Stables turned cottages were snug, like sleeping on clouds. Can't complain. Back for a fifth time, thanks to Jean-Marie and the majestic Orange River views. Staff ace, rooms cozy. Pristine nature a treat. Cheers to more stays at this gem!

The rooms at the lodge were spacious and well-designed, with comfortable bedding and a contemporary feel. the bathroom in the converted stable was huge and luxurious. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with a beautiful view of the river. the location of the lodge was excellent, with stunning grounds and a fantastic view over the river.

The dinner options at the lodge were limited, especially for vegetarians and children. We found the purchased dinner to be overpriced and basic.

Chilled vibes by the pool with the Orange River view, epic game drive spotting cool animals, and tasty food. Met rad peeps too! Totally coming back for more adventure!

More nighttime activities for young party animals needed.

Our overnight stop between the Cape and Gauteng turned into a delightful stay along the Orange River. the newly built cottages were beautifully decorated, offering luxurious bedding and comfortable mattresses. Delicious dinner and a packed breakfast were the cherry on top. the friendly host, well-kept surroundings, and seamless access through controlled gates made our visit truly memorable.

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

Everything was spot on.

The views were absolutely breathtaking! The sunset over the river was like something out of a postcard. Another great aspect was the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the lodge. The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home. And let me tell you, the food was delicious! We had supper there and it was truly a treat.

The road leading to the lodge was a bit of a challenge. It was rocky and confusing at times, which made it difficult to navigate.
