I had the best time staying at this hostel in the vibrant historical area of Joo Chiat. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always there to answer any questions or offer advice. The common room was spacious and sociable, a great place to meet fellow travelers. The food tour organized by Tony was a highlight, showcasing the unique Singaporean delicacies in the area. The hostel's location was convenient, with a train station and bus stop within walking distance. a fantastic experience.

The wifi was only available in the reception area, which could be a bit inconvenient at times.

We had such a memorable experience at Betel Box Backpackers! The hostel truly felt like a welcoming home away from home. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the common area was perfect for relaxing with comfortable couches and a huge TV. The amenities, like the billiard table and board games, provided entertainment for everyone. We also loved the convenience of having late-night restaurants and stores nearby. we can't wait to come back and stay longer at this backpacker's dream come true.

The hostel had a really friendly vibe and I felt at home right away. the common area was the best aspect, with a cozy and warm feeling that made me want to lounge there for hours. the free breakfast was a good start to the day and there were also fruit and tea/coffee available all day. I liked that there were lots of food options nearby and the fact that the location was close to the beach. It was also great that the hostel had a gym available for guests to use for free.

One thing I didn’t like was that the hostel was quite far from public transportation. Though it’s nice to see a different side of the city, it can be time-consuming.

Additionally, being situated in a cultural district allows guests to immerse themselves in the local heritage. The staff provides great service and attention to detail, ensuring a comfortable stay. The rooms are equipped with TV sets for movie nights, and the mattresses are thick and comfortable. I particularly appreciated having a double bed and a single bed in the room, as well as the bathroom being on the same level as the rooms. The breakfast included a variety of options, including fresh fruits and peanut butter alongside the regular jam and toast. the hotel offers a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
