Amazing hotel with quality wooden furnishings, comfortable beds, and medieval charm. Helpful staff, stunning castle view, and great location for exploring Croatia and Slovenia. Wonderful breakfast.

Nothing, all was good.

Spent Christmas at this charming castle hotel near the Croatian border. the wooden bathtub and sink in our suite were so unique and luxurious. the large comfortable bed and amazing view of the river and wooded area made it feel like we were in a fairytale. the location was perfect for us, as it made it easy for us to explore both Slovenia and Croatia. the breakfast spread was delicious with a wide variety of local foods to choose from.

The air conditioning unit in our room broke down, making it uncomfortably warm. the moldy smell in our suite was a bit disturbing, but we think it could be due to the wooden furnishings.

I couldn't believe my luck when I walked into the room and saw the breathtaking view from the bed - a complete wall of glass overlooking the river and woods. The beauty of the surroundings was absolutely stunning. The manager quickly resolved the issue with the broken air conditioning by upgrading us to the Tower rooms without hesitation. The wooden bathtub and sink in the bathroom were unlike anything I've seen before, adding a unique touch to our stay. The comfortable bed, large TV, and cozy leather suite in the sitting room made us feel right at home. The breakfast spread was delicious, with a variety of jams, cheeses, meats, and muesli to choose from. The location, just a mile from the Croatian border, made it easy to explore both Slovenia and Croatia. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others. our stay at this castle was truly perfect.

There was a slight moldy smell in our suite, possibly due to the wooden furnishings. However, it didn't disrupt our enjoyment too much.
