Hostal El Escudo De provided exceptional value for money. The room was lovely, well-stocked with a mini-bar, safe, and toiletries. The shower was quick and the room was spotlessly clean. The staff were immediately available and extremely helpful. Additionally, the location was perfect, with cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby.

Perfect for a late night stop over, just 20 minutes from Malaga airport. Easy check-in with keys left at reception. The room puts some chain hotels to shame, with comfortable furniture and a modern bathroom. Great value for money. Loved the coffee machine in reception for an early morning caffeine fix. Very centrally located for shops and restaurants. The owner was very helpful and it was a relaxing two-night break. Free toiletries were almost that of a 4-star hotel.

This hotel is a hidden luxury gem in a picturesque village with friendly and helpful staff. the spacious and spotless rooms were equipped with luxurious amenities, daily maid service, and regular restocking of the minibar. The hotel is conveniently located close to plenty of restaurants and bars, a short drive from the coast, and has a beautiful view of the coast from the balcony. Cons: the hotel does not have a pool, breakfast, or snacks. this was not a problem as there are many restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and the coast is just a 10-minute drive away.

This hostel is located in a quiet side street right in the center of all the action. It's just off the main square, making it the perfect location for exploring the restaurants and bars in the area. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, with individual balconies offering views of the sea, village, and mountains. The staff is friendly and welcoming, ensuring a pleasant stay.

The parking situation can be a bit challenging, as there is no onsite parking. However, there is a multi-storey car park nearby for a convenient solution.

We were impressed by the attention to detail at this hostal. Despite our late arrival, the staff made sure we had our keys waiting for us. Hidden down backstreet, not accessible by car, but very convenient once you have found it. Great location next to the Mountain, in the centre, so great selection of pubs, restaurants, and shops.

Lovely find. Clean, comfortable and friendly. Our room was lovely and the hostel is right in the heart of Mijas. Great value for money. Have a go on the electric tuk tuk tour, well worth it and they offer a discount voucher. The nearby Panadería de María Quero is lovely for breakfast. The Parque La Muralla is a panoramic viewpoint and rich in tranquility. Rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The view from the top floor rooms was amazing. Imaginative decor in a traditional style. Exceptionally clean and use of high quality linen, fixtures, and fittings. Owners were friendly and obliging. Cannot praise enough and thoroughly recommend.
