We had a fantastic stay at a hotel in Etxebarria. The best aspects were the hotel's cleanliness, facilities, staff, and location on a stream. Everything is what we need and want.

loved the warm reception, unique character, and rich history of the hotel. So impressed with the rehab of the foundry. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location near Markina. The off-road path from town to the hotel was a nice touch.

Absolutely mind-blowing warm and welcoming staff, including an awesome bartender and an amazing woman from the U.S. The hotel's rehabilitation of the foundry is jaw-dropping, and its historical significance adds to the charm. The tranquil location along a beautiful river, accessed through a pretty park, is super. The homemade cuisine served in the restaurant is delicious, and the emphasis on locally sourced produce and sustainability is commendable. The staff are great with dogs too!

I recently had an incredible experience staying at a charming rural hotel in a tranquil location. the staff at Antsotegi went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They even came to pick us up when we had trouble finding the hotel, and their kindness and hospitality continued throughout our stay. the dinner at the hotel's restaurant was absolutely amazing, and a much-needed change from the food we had on our journey.

Our room had a problem and we were moved to alternative accommodation without prior notice. the locked door to the restaurant in the morning was an inconvenience for those of us who had requested an early breakfast.

In the morning, we enjoyed a peaceful moment on our terrace, taking in the breathtaking views of the countryside. Our furry friend also had a great time exploring the surroundings. Although there were a few minor inconveniences, such as the difficulty in finding the hotel and the lack of wifi in the rooms, they were easily overlooked considering the overall wonderful experience. We highly recommend this lovely hideaway for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Comfortable rooms, beautiful stone building, great food, English speaking staff. Large modern bedrooms, nice surprise with body jet shower. Lovely terrace with countryside view. Peaceful setting on a stream. Perfect rest stop or exploration base for the Basque Country.
