The hotel is tucked away on a quiet side street, yet close to a bus stop for easy transportation. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They took us on a breathtaking trip to the mountains and arranged for a special boat ride back to Portugal when our plans changed. The manager was extremely accommodating, offering us a room early when our daughter fell ill. Communication was easy thanks to a helpful translation app. The included continental breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly. The hotel's proximity to the port allowed us to explore the town and enjoy the festive atmosphere of a local celebration. Our overall experience was simply amazing, and we cannot thank the hotel enough for their outstanding hospitality.

The handmade jam that was offered by the friendly lady was a delightful touch. Having the option to wash and dry laundry for a reasonable fee was a great convenience. The rooms were clean, spacious, modern, and well-equipped with comfortable beds. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the waterfront and close to a supermarket. We had a great stay at this hotel. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready, but the manager was so helpful. He gave us a map and suggested things to do while we waited. When he saw that our daughter was ill, he arranged for a room to be prepared right away. the staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. the location was convenient, within walking distance of the port and many shops and restaurants. the continental breakfast was a nice touch as well.

Staff were amazing. Lady drove us to the mountains in own car. Beautiful. Boat not available on Mondays, but owner arranged small fishing boat for pilgrims. Lovely people xx.

We got great value for our money, the room was modern and clean, and the location was convenient for exploring the port and nearby shops and restaurants. The staff at Vila Da Guarda were incredibly helpful, friendly, and even had a translation app to assist with communication.

The breakfast option could be improved with better communication about taking food for later, as it made us feel uncomfortable with the intimidating signs assuming guests would take food.

there was no air-conditioning in the bedroom, which made it a bit uncomfortable during warmer days. the shower had a leaky seal, resulting in water all over the bathroom floor.

I had an amazing welcome at Vila Da Guarda. the smell of freshly baked goods in the reception area made me feel right at home. the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, treating me like family. the hotel has a gorgeous outdoor courtyard where they served complimentary wine and snacks. My room was spacious, with a comfortable super-kingsize bed and a good-sized bathroom. Despite the language barrier, the hotel representative provided me with a map and recommended a fantastic local restaurant for dinner.
