I enjoy the beautiful natural setting that provides easy access to local attractions like Covadonga and the breathtaking Picos de Europe. The spacious and comfortable rooms, along with the excellent dining options, truly enhance the experience.

WiFi connection is somewhat poor and inconsistent during my stay.

we had a wonderful stay at parador de cangas de onis. the location is great, just a short drive from cangas, and the building itself is fascinating and historic. the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast offered an amazing selection, more than i’ve seen at other places. the staff were always polite and attentive, especially in the dining room, making us feel really welcomed.

i wish the internet connection was better.

Man, this spot was like walking into a history book. The old monastery vibes had me feelin' all kinds of ways. The cheese tasting? Straight fire, fam! And that fabada stew? Can't even front, it was killer! Just wish the WiFi was a lil' better, ya feel me?

The whole set-up is really lekker, especially the guided tour by the director—felt like a personal connection to the history. Plus, getting a room that opened to the garden was a win for our pup! And the cheese tasting? Wow, man, like a flavor explosion!

Only bummer was that we couldn’t experience the audioguide feature properly, lacked time to do it all.

It was just a good match for a passing visit in Villanueva de Cangas de Onis with high value for money. The breakfast buffet had an awesome selection of fresh fruit and homemade minidonuts that I really enjoyed. Make sure to check the air-conditioning switch next to the reading lamp if your room feels hot.

The welcome we received was amazing , staff were super friendly and helpful. We stayed in this fantastic Monastery Room with six opening windows that let us soak in the views of the mountains and gardens.

Yeah, it wasn’t exactly inexpensive , but given the comfort and location, it was acceptable.
