I was pleasantly surprised by my recent stay at a clean and conveniently located hotel in Barcelona. The room was bright and spacious enough for two people, with a comfortable bed and all the necessary amenities in the bathroom. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free, and I appreciated the option to leave my keys at reception. The hotel's location at the bottom of Las Ramblas made it easy to explore the city, with easy access to the beach, metro, restaurants, and shops. I would highly recommend this hotel for a enjoyable stay in Barcelona.

I recently stayed at Hostal Portugal for a few days and had a great experience. The location was perfect, close to the water and within walking distance to shopping and nightlife. The hotel is housed in an old building with a charming, vintage decor, yet everything felt fresh and new. The rooms were spacious and I particularly enjoyed the outstanding water pressure in the shower. The shared bathroom was always clean and never overcrowded. The kitchen area was a nice touch, with a table and stools, microwave and kettle. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and I especially appreciated the luggage storage option. I highly recommend this hotel for its convenient location, cleanliness, and all-around great experience.

I loved the convenience of having a bike rental shop right next door. Although there was no breakfast, there was a great bakery downstairs. The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. The location was perfect for my short city break. I highly recommend this hostel for a budget-friendly stay.

The location of the accommodation was perfect as it was in the center and close to public transport. It was also nearby the beach and all attractions. The room was light and airy with enough space to spread things. The lift in the building made it easy to access the hotel room.

The facilities were poorly maintained, which affected the overall experience of the stay.

Friendly and helpful staff. Although my room was small, it was spotlessly clean and had a balcony. The location was fantastic, just off Las Ramblas and near the port and boardwalk. Despite the limited space, the room had a private shower and toilet. The hotel was a great value for the price. I would highly recommend it for a budget stay in the city.

Well-priced, aesthetically pleasing accommodation with a fantastic location for exploring the Gothic Quarter and La Barceloneta on foot. Staff are friendly and available, and the in-room AC is reliable. Additionally, having a private bathroom inside the room adds extra value and convenience.

There was nothing I didn't like.

During my Xmas stay, the hotel offered a couple of complementary facts which were very pleasant: hot chocolate and Christmas cookies. the location was also spot on, central and close to the main attractions. Another advantage was the easy access to transport and the Christmas market.

The experience was not very positive. the staff was unwelcoming and didn't seem interested in helping.

This hotel is in a great place, just a stone's throw away from the metro and right in the city center. With its own little balcony looking out onto the street, the rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. I appreciated the helpful staff.
