The location of this hotel is amazing, as it is close to everything in the city center. It is also situated very close to Old Town, which is a must-visit. The hotel is opposite a beautiful square, allowing for a pleasant view from the room. The room itself is huge and beautifully appointed, with a luxurious bathroom. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a great service experience. The breakfast, though not the largest, offers a variety of choices and even allows for customized egg dishes.

The shower in the room leaked everywhere, causing the floor to flood.

The hotel had a stunning design, from the room to the reception and the bar. It created a truly stylish atmosphere throughout. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the overall aesthetic.

It would have been nice to have hooks for coats near the door. Hanging coats is a small detail that would have added convenience to the stay.

We spent an amazing Christmas at this hotel. the staff was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We particularly appreciated the two complimentary drinks we received upon arrival and the delicious breakfast served at the hotel restaurant. the location was perfect, in the heart of the city and within walking distance to both the beach and old town. the room was also beautifully decorated and had great amenities such as free Wi-Fi.

The noise level in our room was quite high. We could hear all the street noise and the neighboring bar's music throughout the night, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

We loved staying here because of its central location near all the main landmarks. The staff was very friendly and helpful, providing us with information and recommendations for restaurants and bars. Our room was comfortable, with all the necessary amenities and a spacious bathroom.

I recently stayed at Mate Gorka for a few days and had a wonderful experience. The staff, Cristina and Harri, were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help me. The hotel's location was perfect, being centrally located and close to both Coral and Zurriola beaches. The room itself was stylish and clean, with a comfortable bed and good internet. I loved having a balcony overlooking Gipuzkoa Plaza, and the café/bar had a great atmosphere. I would definitely come back to this amazing hotel!

While the breakfast at Mate was decent, we felt that there could have been more variety and a better standard of cooked food. The limited choice and lack of refreshments were a slight disappointment.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff. Short walk to the old town where all the pintxos bars etc. are. We had a couple of hungover days and left a "do not disturb" on the door all morning, but the rooms were still cleaned in the afternoon when we finally left, which is great. The bar is trendy and serves alternative breakfast and coffees. The 'duplex style' rooms are great for families. Convenient parking nearby, and the staff are extremely nice and helpful.
