Booked a room at this spot by the lake recently. Gemunu and fam were such characters - treated me like royalty. Ate like a king daily, always some extra nibbles. Nights were comfy with cool aircon. Shared laughs with buffalo, crocs, and birds by the lake. Fab tuk-tuk rides at sunset. Even saw a sneaky leopard! Farewell was bittersweet; see you again. Cheers from the tea fields of Sri Lanka! .

I adored the charming decorations at the hotel, especially the cozy sitting areas overlooking the serene lake. the accessibility for senior people was excellent with wide pathways and helpful staff always ready to assist. It truly made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Cons: Faster elevator for seniors, please, children.

We had an overall amazing experience at Double Lake View. the family who owns this place offers service beyond exceptional to make sure everything is okay. the food is exceptionally good, especially the Sri Lankan curry. the room is large, spacious, and the bed is comfortable. Everything is very clean and the A/C works really well. the mother of the family even sewed up one of my blouses for free. They helped us with our bus ride to Ella and stayed with us for an hour to make sure we got on the right bus.
