We had a fantastic experience staying at the Drop Hostel in Kandy with our big family clan. the stunning view of Kandy from the hostel was a real treat for the eyes, especially for the kids. the comfortable and clean beds, spacious bathrooms, and helpful staff made our family stay enjoyable and hassle-free.

My wife says that the hostel could benefit from adding more child-friendly amenities for families like ours.

The room had a cozy vibe with a lovely view of the mountains. the clean bathroom and comfy bed made me feel relaxed after a long day exploring.

The thin mattresses on the bunk beds were a bit uncomfortable for me.

The wooden cabin we stayed in was a steal - a complete home for such a good price, plus the host was super helpful and kind, even gave us some top-notch local tea. the location was serene, with occasional monkey sightings from our window, and a short walk away from bars and restaurants. 🌿🌸 the only downside was the lack of power sockets in the common areas, but it didn't really bother us since we made do elsewhere to charge our stuff.

Comfortable beds and clean towels were provided in the dormitory with amazing views over the city. the owner was pleasant to chat with, adding a friendly touch to the stay. the location offered a stunning view of the city that was worth waking up to every morning.

The dormitory was a trek to reach, located up a steep hill with sharp bends that made the climb tiring and challenging. the infrastructure seemed worn-out with issues like broken furniture, missing glass windows, and unwelcome insect visitors.

I booked last minute and was warmly welcomed, even after check-in hours. the manager checked in on me, offering helpful tips. the atmosphere was friendly, with guests from around the world. the surroundings were serene, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend staying here for a memorable experience.

Great value for a cozy wooden cabin experience

I had an amazing stay in a wooden cabin - a complete home - at this hostel in Kandy. the host was incredibly kind and welcoming, even picking us up for free from the train station. the peaceful location offered sightings of monkeys and the accommodation was unique and affordable. the hill leading up to the hostel can be challenging to carry luggage up, so arranging a ride would be helpful.

The hostel ticked some boxes, like clean beds and bathroom. Happy to snag a fresh towel and soap. Loved the mosquito net. A budget-friendly stop with a few snags, but a decent deal overall. Haha, can't go wrong with a mosquito-free night!
