The villas are set back from the road, offering a peaceful atmosphere and a stunning sea view. the spacious rooms with big comfy beds and large balconies were a delight. I especially enjoyed relaxing on the day bed while taking in the ocean breeze. the generator kept everything running smoothly during power cuts, ensuring I had uninterrupted electricity, wifi, and AC. the food was excellent, with the pizzas and Sri Lankan breakfast being my top recommendations. it was a gem of a place, located just a short distance from the beach.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely hotel. The rooms were spacious with beautiful balconies, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. One of the groundsmen even provided us with his homemade natural oil to help ease my back pain, which was incredibly kind. The hotel had a nice pool and a gorgeous garden, and the nearby beach was quiet and picturesque. The breakfast provided was generous and delicious. we couldn't have asked for a better experience at Moonstone Villas.

Noisy Location with Inconsistent Service

I recently stayed at a lovely accommodation in Tangalle and had a great experience at Moonstone Villas. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the location was excellent with the beautiful beach just a short walk away. The room was spacious and clean, with a great sitting area outside. The owner, Darshan, made our stay even better with his warm welcome and fantastic food. The meals were delicious, especially the local dishes like fish stew and chicken curry. The grounds were well-maintained, and the swimming pool was a refreshing retreat. it was a perfect place to relax and enjoy our vacation.

We had a relaxing one night stay at Moonstone. The staff was friendly, and the in-house restaurant served delicious food, including a must-try thin crust pizza. They arranged everything for our turtle watching trip in Rekawa, from transport to tickets. The room was tidy, and they even provided a cot for our toddler. The property had peacocks roaming around, adding to its charm. a lovely place to stay.
