This hotel was a fantastic start to our family holiday, with the children lazing in the hammocks and the views across the Sri Lankan countryside to Sigiriya Rock. The location was so peaceful and beautiful, overlooking a paddy field, making it a great spot for reading in the evenings or just laying back and enjoying the scenery. The rooms were extremely basic but comfortable, with huge, very new, nice and clean spaces and a terrace with a great view. And the breakfast served was generous and delicious, with traditional Sri Lankan dishes like hoppers with fresh fruit and eggs. this hotel offered great value for money and provided a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Additionally, the rooms with terraces offer stunning views of the surrounding scenery, including the famous rock formations.

No complaints, everything was simply perfect.

We stayed at a lovely hotel just outside of the village, down the street in the dark. It was close enough to walk to all the restaurants and we even found a nearby lake to explore. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view from the balcony of Sigiriya Lion Rock. The staff were kind and accommodating, organizing tours and taxis for us. The pool was clean and well-kept, perfect for a refreshing dip.

The bathroom in our room had a loose toilet, which was a bit inconvenient.

Family-run villa with stunning views, surrounded by paddy fields. Large windows provide a beautiful sight of Sigiriya rock. Delicious food and drinks with a great choice, especially the rice and curry. Attentive host and friendly staff. Lovely pool next to a vegetable garden.

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and the staff was incredibly friendly. the view from the villa was surreal, and I couldn't get enough of it. the rooms were modern and comfortable, and the pool provided a great spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. the food was delicious, especially the Sri Lankan breakfast. I would highly recommend Nelu Villa for an unforgettable stay.

I felt like family at Nelu Villa. The owner went above and beyond, offering free rides and helping me with everything. The rooftop terrace had a view of Lion's Rock and the constant breeze was a natural AC. Plus, there's a chance to see elephants at night! I highly recommend this hotel.
