The views and location were unbeatable, right on the fort wall with stunning views of the sea. The family running the guesthouse were incredibly sweet and went out of their way to make our stay great. They even drove us to the train station early in the morning. The homestay feel with only four rooms was a nice touch.

As a satisfied traveler, I recently stayed at Rampart View Guesthouse in Galle for a few days. The purpose of my trip was to relax and explore the local area. The hotel provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The room was lovely, bright, and spacious, with a beautiful sea view. The fan and AC worked perfectly to keep the room cool. I appreciated the kettle with complimentary tea and coffee, as well as the complementary bottles of water. The location of the hotel was ideal, with a short and pleasant walk to restaurants on Pedlar St. The staff were extremely pleasant, helpful, and informative, making my stay even more enjoyable. However, the highlight of my experience was definitely the breakfast. They offered a vegan/vegetarian-friendly choice of Sri Lankan and Western breakfast options, all beautifully presented and served on the balcony overlooking the fort and the ocean. It was truly blissful. Thank you, Rampart View Guesthouse, for a beautiful stay.

One drawback was that there were occasional power cuts in the early morning, which made cooking a bit difficult. Another minor issue was that the rooms had slightly small beds, which may not be suitable for taller individuals.
