The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, providing us with all the information we needed about nearby attractions and places to eat. the location of the hotel was also great, being only a short walk away from the beach. Additionally, the Sri Lankan breakfast served at the hotel was delicious and a great way to start the day.

One downside of our stay was the noise from the nearby road, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. the traffic noises continued throughout the night and at times were quite loud.

Lovely, clean and comfortable rooms. Good shower pressure, air conditioning, and comfortable beds. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The food cooked by the owner's mother was excellent. Highly recommend for those staying in the area.

Felt very fortunate to have found such a great guest house, no reason to complain.

The room was spacious and clean, with nice decorations. the hotel was conveniently located near the beach and had easy access to restaurants and shops. the staff was helpful and friendly, providing recommendations for places to eat and things to do.

The noise from the busy road outside was a bit disruptive, especially for light sleepers. the occasional problem with the wifi was inconvenient, although this is common in the area.

I recently stayed at a lovely guest house in Unawatuna called Sam's. The personnel were kind and helpful, and the location was perfect - just a few minutes' walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. There was even an ATM and bus stop right around the corner! I highly recommend trying the Sri Lankan breakfast, as the dishes were amazing and the portions were generous. I had a wonderful stay and I am grateful for the great service.

I would recommend this hotel.

For the value we got, our stay at Sam's Guest House was exceptional. The room was spacious and equipped with all the necessary facilities, including an AC. The location was perfect, just a short 5-minute walk to the beach. The staff treated us like family, going above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay.
