The room at Gatetrees Resort was incredibly spacious and impeccably clean. I was impressed by the attention to cleanliness and comfort. The breakfast provided was absolutely delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed starting my day with such a tasty meal.

There were a couple of drawbacks to my stay. there were unexpected extra charges for items that I assumed were included in the set price for evening meals.

Lovely colonial-style atmosphere. Comfortable and spacious room. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food, especially Jaffna crab. Beautiful terraces and garden.

No negative aspects.

The location is superb near the train station. the rooms are spacious with comfortable four-poster beds. the garden was a pleasant place for an afternoon tea and walk around.

Although the building has colonial charm, the facilities are faded. the breakfast was overpriced and didn't meet our expectations.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the train station and close to Jaffna town, making it convenient for exploring the area. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds. The lack of fresh drinking water provided was a downside, as it should be expected in a guest house of this caliber.

I had a wonderful stay at Gatetrees! the manager, Karna, was amazing. He taught me so much and I even got to witness the beautiful rituals for Pongal. the rice dish he cooked was absolutely delicious. the rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds and great amenities. the Wi-Fi was excellent and there were no mosquitoes in the room. the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Gatetrees is definitely the place I would choose to stay if I return to this town.

Nothing could have been better!

This hotel offers great value for money with reasonable prices and attention to detail. Its location is very convenient, close to the train station, making it easy to explore the area. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing basic amenities such as towels. The rooms on the second floor have a lovely balcony to relax on.

No significant issues, everything was satisfactory.

We had a wonderful stay at a resort close to town with friendly staff. They even arranged a cab service for us. the environment was lovely and the rooms were comfortable, with shared terraces. the colonial-style house had a lot of character, and we enjoyed the wooden floors and old furniture. the on-site restaurant served delicious food, with the curries and parota being particularly tasty. a great place to stay for a vacation.

Almost perfect, but there were a few small issues. the room could not be locked from the inside, and the bed was quite hard.
