My stay at Rock Gate Resort in Sigiriya was absolutely incredible. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning view of both Lion Rock and Pidurangala from the treehouse. Waking up to the sunrise shining on my face was a truly magical experience. The treehouse itself was comfortable, with a good mosquito-net and a unique bathroom setup. The host family was the sweetest, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The food prepared by their chef friend was delicious, and I even had the opportunity to borrow their bicycles to explore the area. I highly recommend Rock Gate Resort for its breathtaking views, comfortable accommodations, and warm hospitality.

Drawbacks: The only minor inconvenience was that the phone number provided in the confirmation email was out of date, making it a bit challenging to reach the resort. Additionally, the treehouse had some bugs and low lighting levels, but the host family did their best to mitigate these issues.

What a wonderful stay I had! The place is located very close to a popular tourist attraction, and the owners were incredibly welcoming. They offered us complimentary bicycles, which we used to explore the local area and discover hidden gems. The breakfast was a treat and the toiletries provided were of high quality.

Although the owner's wife was nice, dinner at the property was expensive, and we were not informed of the price ahead of time. it would have been helpful to have more guidance about the area's safety, as we were told that it was not safe to go out at night.

The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The family who runs the resort is incredibly welcoming and friendly, always ready to help with any needs. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast with a view of the rock. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the tree house was a unique and special experience. The free use of bicycles was a bonus for exploring the village. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The family who runs it went above and beyond to make our visit wonderful. They arranged tours, tuk tuks, and meals for us, taking care of every detail. The tree house we stayed in was amazing, with a garden that allowed us to watch elephants, peacocks, and other animals. The food, prepared by the owner's wife, was excellent, with delicious traditional dishes. The attention to detail in the build of the tree house was impressive, and the view of Sigiriya was breathtaking.

The location of the hotel is ideal, nestled in the middle of the jungle, offering a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. It is conveniently situated just a short walk away from both the Lion's Rock entrance and the Pidurangala entrance, making it a perfect base for exploring the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, equipped with good air conditioning and showers. The friendly and hospitable family who own the hotel are always available to assist with any needs. The traditional breakfasts and meals prepared by the family are delicious and provide a taste of local cuisine.
