I had such a fantastic stay at this hotel. The beautiful setting and tranquil atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax. The infinity pool, set against a scenic backdrop, offered stunning sunsets. The rooms were delightful, clean, and spacious, with excellent decor throughout the hotel. The attention to detail was incredible, from the thoughtful and interesting touches to the bathroom products and beautiful pillows. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience. The British owner was friendly and engaging, sharing the interesting origins of the hotel. The food was absolutely fantastic, probably the best I've had in this country. The breakfast was excellent, and the menu for a la carte dinner was tasty and freshly prepared. Payment by credit card was also accepted. In particular, Herath was gentle, kind, and spoke very good English. The hotel's location, although around 30-40 minutes north of the city, added to its secluded nature and allowed for a peaceful stay.

Our stay at The Flame Tree Estate & Hotel was simply magical. The lush greenery surrounding the property creates a tranquil oasis that instantly relaxes the mind and soul. The attention to detail in the design and decor is unparalleled, making every corner of the hotel a work of art. The infinity pool overlooking the palm trees is a sight to behold, especially during sunset. The room we stayed in, the Flying Squirrel room, was spacious and comfortable, with the best bathroom and rain shower we've ever encountered. The bed, complete with mosquito nets, provided a peaceful night's sleep. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. We were treated to refreshing watermelon hearts while sunbathing by the pool and a plate of biscuits with our afternoon tea. The meals at the hotel were outstanding, with a variety of options to choose from, including a delicious Sri Lankan curry and rice dish. Breakfast was a feast of fresh fruits, bread, and homemade pineapple jam and marmalade. The property also boasts an impressive collection of artwork and antiquities, adding to its charm. A nature walk around the estate allowed us to fully appreciate the beauty of the surroundings. our experience at The Flame Tree Estate & Hotel was unforgettable, and we can't wait to return.

Stunning colonial house, beautifully renovated with art everywhere. Friendly staff and excellent service. Gorgeous pool and breathtaking views. Spacious apartments with nice details. Lovely garden with ancient-like theater.

We had a wonderful stay in the hills outside of Kandy with beautiful views of palm trees. The lounge area was tastefully decorated and created a tranquil atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout our stay, and the breakfast was delicious. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The hotel also offered a library/games room and an infinity pool with stunning sunset views.

One small suggestion would be for the hotel to provide directions or ensure that Google Maps leads guests to the correct location.

Amazing nature surroundings and delicious food, we loved the sunset views at the beautiful infinity pool and the cute dogs in the hotel. the staff was helpful and attentive to our needs. the spacious and clean rooms were very comfortable. A secluded location was perfect for our Easter getaway.

We had to bring our own alcohol and there was no bar or cocktails available. the hotel was difficult to locate as it was not signposted and Google Maps led us down the wrong road.

This hotel is a true haven of luxury and tranquillity. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the stunning exterior and was immediately struck by the breath-taking views of the surrounding area. the exclusive amenities, including the spa centre and infinity pool, exceeded all of my expectations. I indulged in a full body massage and was left feeling entirely relaxed and refreshed. the sun terrace and garden area provided the perfect space for me to unwind and soak up the sun.

My only minor issue was that the special diet menus were slightly limited. Despite this, the restaurant staff were accommodating and still created a delicious meal for me.
