The staff were incredibly helpful and provided us with excellent advice for our next destination. The breakfast was plentiful, although it would have been better if it was served in stages to fully understand what was included, especially when it came to drinks. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home, and the staff loved having our young children around. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the elephant orphanage and the river where they bathe, making our days effortless. The hotel offered fantastic views of the surrounding rice fields, and the bus stop conveniently located outside the hotel was great for exploring nearby attractions. Sam, one of the staff members, deserves special mention for his exceptional problem-solving skills and professional demeanor. The hotel provided a lovely breakfast and was also great with accommodating babies. One night was more than enough to enjoy the elephants, and the hotel offered a quiet and comfortable night's sleep. our stay at this hotel was an absolute delight, with amazing amenities, friendly service, and unforgettable experiences.

The breakfast options were basic, and the dinner menu was overpriced for the quality of food provided. the lack of privacy in the rooms, as they faced the public area, was a drawback, leading to an unpleasant musty smell in the room and causing our clothes to have a bad odor.

There were a few aspects that we were not pleased with. The sun loungers by the pool were worn out, and there were quite a few ant nests in the toilet.

The only minor issue was the limited options on the special diet menus.

We had an incredible stay at Villa Pinnawala & Restaurant. the staff, especially Sam at reception, were extremely helpful and assisted us with arranging transportation and other needs. the rooms were newly renovated and beautifully designed, surrounding a spacious pool. the amenities were top-notch, including a surround sound system and a clean and modern bathroom. the hotel is conveniently located just 50 meters from the elephant orphanage, allowing us to witness the majestic elephants crossing the road. the restaurant had great service and delicious food, and we enjoyed the stunning views of the paddy fields. our experience was flawless and we would give it a 10/10 rating.
