Waking up to breathtaking views of the highlands and enjoying delicious local meals made my Christmas stay unforgettable. the hotel's central location near the bus station and town center made exploring easy and convenient. the warm hospitality of the host and the team, along with their helpful recommendations for day trips, added a personal touch to my experience.

Although the breakfast cost was slightly higher, the overall service was exceptional.

The homemade Sri Lankan food at Il Villino was an incredible culinary experience that I had never tasted before. The location, just 5 minutes from the main station, was surprisingly quiet with amazing views. The host was attentive and accommodating, making my stay truly enjoyable. The friendly and helpful team went out of their way to assist me with local knowledge and even recommended a beautiful trail in the forest where I could spot monkeys and other wildlife. Il Villino is perfect for backpackers, offering reasonable prices, helpful transportation advice, and a peaceful atmosphere.

Felt like I was being taken care of at home, with no reason to complain.

We had an incredible experience at Il Villino Haputale. The owner, Naleef, was a delight to interact with - he was helpful, friendly, and always had a cheerful attitude. The room was comfortable and had a stunning view from the balcony. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the train station and close to the center of town. It was the ideal base for our trip to Horton Plains. Additionally, the hospitality we received was outstanding. The staff picked us up from the train station and went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. We even had the opportunity to learn how to cook local dishes in the kitchen with them. The hotel also had a great map of local attractions displayed in the kitchen. our stay was superb and we would highly recommend Il Villino Haputale.

We recently stayed at the Il Villino Bed & Breakfast in Haputale and had an incredible experience. the hotel had an outstanding viewpoint with gorgeous views of the mountains. the room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed including a kitchen with a cooker, fridge, kettle, toaster. the food at the restaurant was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the Sri Lankan breakfast. the owner was a very pleasant man who was always available to answer any questions. it was the best place we have ever visited.
