The snowmobile tour offered directly from the lodge was absolutely amazing! It was a thrilling experience and definitely one of the highlights of my trip. Another great aspect was the cozy and comfortable rooms. They were well-decorated and provided a nice retreat after a long day of activities. Additionally, the staff at the lodge were friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome throughout my stay.

One downside was the difficulty in controlling the temperature in the rooms. It was not possible to fully shut down the heating, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times.

As women traveling alone, we loved the cozy and comfortable rooms at this lodge. The beautiful surroundings and the opportunity to watch the northern lights were a definite highlight. The lodge staff were friendly and helpful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The organized snowmobile tour was the best activity we enjoyed during our stay. The cooked food was delicious, and the breakfast selection was great. a wonderful experience.

We had an incredible time at Mattarahkka Lodge during our stay in Lapland. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, and the lodge itself was absolutely beautiful. We were lucky enough to witness the stunning northern lights while enjoying a delicious dinner. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, and we even had the chance to see the Aurora Borealis from our own room. The complimentary breakfast was like a delightful brunch, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Despite being a bit pricey, it was definitely worth it.

I recently had an amazing stay in Kiruna and it was truly a unique experience. The lodge I stayed at was family-run and had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that I felt right at home. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, providing a comfortable and cozy space to relax after a long day of exploring. The location of the lodge was also fantastic, offering beautiful surroundings and the opportunity to enjoy peaceful walks in nature. Additionally, one of the highlights of my stay was the hot tub on the roof, which was the perfect way to unwind and take in the stunning views.

While my stay was overall fantastic, there were a few minor downsides. the lodge was a bit isolated and not located in the center of town.

Clean hotel, delicious breakfast, convenient location for Aurora Borealis viewing and attractions. Easy driving access to Narvik and Lulea. Beautiful scenery in October with frozen falls, rivers, and lakes. Enjoyable stay with comfortable family-like atmosphere and options for activities.

I had an incredible 50th birthday trip at Mattarahkka Northern Light Lodge. Kevin and his team at Weekend a la Carte took care of everything, and Bjorn gave us a detailed itinerary for each day. We enjoyed snowmobiling, visiting the ice hotels, ice fishing, dog husky sledding, and exploring the beautiful surroundings. The personal experience in the small lodge with only 7 rooms was exactly what we wanted. The level of service was impeccable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We even got to witness a stunning display of the northern lights! The rooms were cozy, the showers were clean with hot water, and there were plenty of amenities like tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. The sauna and hot tub on the roof were the perfect way to relax, and the home-cooked meals were delicious. I highly recommend staying here for a memorable and relaxing getaway.

While the booked activities were amazing, they were quite expensive. There was also low flexibility in terms of customization, and the staff didn't provide much guidance on other things to do around the area unless it was their own activities.

I had a wonderful stay at a cozy lodge just outside of Kiruna. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had a homely feel. The staff, especially Barbara, provided amazing service and made our stay even more enjoyable. The dinner was delicious and the buffet breakfast included in our package was lovely. The location was convenient, just a short car ride from the town center. We also booked spa time on the rooftop and were lucky enough to see the northern lights. it was a fantastic experience.
