We loved staying at Alpina! the room had an older style but was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. the shower/toilet was small but perfect for us. Plus, we had a balcony with nice views. the breakfast was excellent with fresh muesli, croissants, local bread, and a wide variety of spreads. They even had boiled eggs and savory options like local cheese and ham. the owner was always present at breakfast, ensuring everything was taken care of. We also received unlimited free tickets for the cablecars, which was awesome!

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel nestled in the heart of the mountains. The room was spacious and cozy, providing us with a comfortable and warm atmosphere. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, making our experience even more enjoyable. The breakfast offered a variety of options, including fresh bread, jams, and a delicious selection of cheese and ham. The location was perfect, with easy access to the train station and close proximity to the cable car station leading to the stunning Oechinesee lake and Blausee. We also appreciated being near the main town area, allowing us to explore the local shops and restaurants.

The thin walls, occasionally allowing us to hear other guests, but it wasn't too bothersome.

We got great value for our money at Hotel Alpina! The room was clean and cozy, with soft and comfy beds. The location was perfect, close to the center yet peaceful at night. The staff were friendly and the owner was a delight!

More breakfast options would have made it even better.

our second visit to kandersteg, alpina was even better than before. friendly staff, beautiful balcony views, and an amazing breakfast with unlimited cablecar tickets. we loved it.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the country, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the surrounding areas. The shuttle train for our car trip to Zermatt was just a stone's throw away, and the price was reasonable too. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing us with ample space to relax. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always willing to assist with any requests we had. The breakfast spread was delicious, with a variety of tasty options to choose from. a great experience!

The noise insulation in the rooms. We could occasionally hear sounds from neighboring rooms, which made it slightly challenging to get a good night's sleep.

The bathroom in the room was quite tiny, and the shower only had a curtain which caused water to splash all over the floor and other surfaces. There was also a slight issue with the shower connection, but it was quickly resolved with the help of the hotel staff.

Oh, just minor annoyances like soft beds, hot rooms without AC, and a slightly dirty balcony. But who cares, right?
