I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in a lovely setting among the mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the attention to detail was excellent. The rooms were completely renovated in a modern style, with great beds and a fantastic view over the central market place. The breakfast was delicious, especially the fruit juice.

A change of pace

After a busy week in Paris, we decided to escape to Stans for a change of pace. The Engel Hotel provided the perfect retreat for our 4-day stay. With its convenient location, just a short walk from the train station, we were easily able to explore nearby Lucerne. The hotel itself was charming, with spacious rooms and all the amenities we needed. The highlight of our visit was taking a trip on the Cabrio to the top of Stansahorn. We also enjoyed the delicious food and beverages offered at Engel, especially the dinner in their restaurant. I can highly recommend this hotel for a short or even an extended holiday. I know I will definitely visit again one day. I will recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of Stans. The location couldn't be more perfect, right on the central market place and just a stone's throw away from the train station. The hotel was very convenient as it was situated near the train station and a food market, which made it easy to purchase items to eat without straying too far from the hotel. the rooms were very modern and I enjoyed the unique and creative design. I particularly liked the big windows in the rooms that allowed a lot of natural light to enter and illuminate the room.

The hotel did not live up to my expectations when it came to noise—a lot of noise. the constant sound of people walking and talking in the hallways and slamming doors kept me up all night.

If you're looking for a conveniently located hotel, you can't go wrong with this one. It is situated right in the center of town, close to the train station, making it a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area.
