As backpackers, we loved the spacious room with comfortable beds, desk, and plenty of storage space. The view of the local landmark from our corner room was amazing. The staff were kind and helpful, giving us great recommendations and even providing free travel vouchers for trams and buses. The little garden area was a lovely spot to enjoy our take-out meals. excellent customer service and a convenient location near shops and restaurants.

Felt incredibly lucky to have found this gem of a hotel, as we had no complaints whatsoever.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a transport card for free public transport in Basel. Tram n3 stopped right by the hotel. The upgraded room view of Spalentor was breathtaking. Breakfast was very good, and the staff was helpful. Overall I recommend staying here.

We got excellent value for our money with a spacious room that had a great view of the Spalentor Gate. The staff at the hotel were delightful, kind, and very helpful in directing us around the city. The location was perfect, with convenient access to public transportation.

More breakfast choices would have made the experience even better.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Basel. The hotel was spotlessly clean and well cared for. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with a large, comfortable king bed. The bathroom was well provisioned and of high quality. We were impressed by the friendly and helpful staff, who made us feel welcome from check-in to check-out. The hotel's location was perfect, with easy access to transportation. We were only a 2-minute walk from trams and buses, which allowed us to explore the city and also conveniently reach the cruise ship for our Rhine river journey to Amsterdam. The hotel's proximity to the "Old Town" area also allowed us to easily access the charming shops and restaurants in the area. The breakfast room was of a good size and the breakfast itself was delicious, with a good selection of food. We also appreciated the presence of a hotel bar and parking facilities.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The continental breakfast was labeled as a full breakfast and had everything we could imagine, including pancakes. The rooms were very large and updated, with nice lighting and furniture. The hotel's location was perfect, as it was right outside the centrally located 15th-century gateway. It was also convenient for walking to the city center or the riverside and easily accessible by car from the highway. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable.
