We had a great stay at Bulowan Hotel! The hotel was clean, compact, and tastefully designed. The staff were really nice and even upgraded us to a bigger room. The location was perfect, closer to the downtown area than to the train station, which was exactly what we wanted as we wanted to explore Hualien itself. The amenities were all in good condition and the spacious bathroom was a plus. We definitely recommend Bulowan!

The room was comfortable and communication with staff was efficient. Surprisingly, a good quality razor was provided among the toiletries. Liked the reception area design, with free snacks and drinks. Big bed in a quiet area close to night markets. The friendly staff shared helpful recommendations for food and shopping, and even arranged taxis for our travels.

This hotel is not a good choice! the distance from any transportation is terrible. Even taxis are overpriced! the nearby market is okay, but not worth the hassle. the only positive things were the staff, who were friendly and the breakfast was satisfying.
