The vintage charm of this historical hotel was truly captivating. It felt like stepping back in time to an era of elegance and sophistication. The views from the hotel were absolutely breathtaking, with stunning gardens and a serene lake nearby. The large rooms were a definite plus, providing ample space to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring the city.

The hotel's facilities were quite dated, with the lobby, elevators, and furnishings showing signs of aging. The lack of renovations was evident, and the overall appearance of the building could use some improvement.

New year at this hotel was amazing! The balcony and pool were the best aspects. The open balcony with beautiful Chinese palace-style design was spacious and perfect for enjoying meals. The pool was a lot of fun for the kids. Plus, the hotel offered free HSR pickup and a friendly driver, adding convenience to our stay. We also enjoyed the great view of the pool and lake from our enormous balcony.

The only downside was that the swimming pool and other recreational facilities were located in a separate building, which was quite a distance from the hotel. It was a bit inconvenient to walk to the pool for a swim.

I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel in Kaohsiung for a relaxing mini-break. The staff, including Melanie at the front desk and Vita at the coffee shop, were all incredibly friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a beautiful Chinese appearance, yet the rooms are modern and comfortable. The view of the swimming pool and lake from the balcony was amazing, and I enjoyed swimming in the well-maintained pool. Lillian, the manager, was very helpful with all my requests, and the hotel even provided a free HSR pickup service. the Grand Hotel exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it.
