I had a great stay at a lovely, clean hostel in Hualien. The Wow Hostel was perfect for my needs - it was right across from the train station and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the owner made sure I had everything I needed for my stay and travel plans. The free breakfast was a bonus, and I felt right at home cooking my own eggs. The hostel also had a convenient coffee and beverage bar, as well as snacks and beer available in the lounge. a clean, safe, and comfortable place to stay in Hualien.

Wow Hostel offers a clean and safe stay with individual lockers, adjoining bathrooms, and a complimentary breakfast. The location is superb, right across from the train station, making it convenient for travelers. The private double room is well-designed and cozy, with a spacious bathroom featuring a fabulous tub. Great value for the price.

Hualien Wow Hostel exceeded our expectations in every way. Conveniently located near the train station, this hostel was the perfect base for our exploration of the stunning Taroko Gorge. The staff were friendly and helpful, organizing train tickets and a fantastic day tour of the park. The rooms were clean, quiet, and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the shared space on rainy days, where we could relax and mingle with other guests. The breakfast options were both convenient and delicious, with a choice between a simple meal at the hostel or trying local dishes next door. The wifi was reliable, allowing us to stay connected throughout our stay.

The location of Hualien Wow made exploring Hualien and Taroko Gorge effortless. The common area was cool and the beds were comfortable. Good value for the price. One drawback was the lack of a smoking area on the open terrace/balcony. Additionally, the staff seemed indifferent, although we couldn't pinpoint why. I would still recommend this hostel for its convenience and amenities.

Convenient Location: The hostel is located near the train station, making it easy to access transportation and explore the city. Plus, there are several mochi shops nearby, so it's convenient to buy delicious souvenirs.

Late Check-In: The 3pm check-in time was a bit inconvenient, especially when our room was already available. It would have been nice to have the flexibility to check in earlier, especially after a long journey to the hostel.

The breakfast provided options of bread, jam, cheese, ham, and eggs to cook. the hostel provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The lack of social events at the hostel, resulting in limited opportunities to meet fellow travelers. Additionally, the area around the hostel did not offer much to do, requiring a bus ride or a 20-30 minute walk to reach the market or the harbor.

The hostel is just a 3-minute walk from Hualien's main station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Taiwan's east coast. The rooms were a pleasant surprise, with a superb industrial design, spaciousness, and comfortable beds. The staff were kind and helpful, providing us with all the information we needed for our adventures in the city and at Taroko National Park.

The design of the hostel and the awesome café in the bottom was the highlight. The rooms and bathrooms were nice and spacious enough, with complementary amenities like a kettle and tea/coffee in the room. The travel desk was extremely helpful in finding a driver for a short notice tour to the cliffs in Taroko national park. The sleeping areas exceeded my expectations, with clean, comfortable and spacious bunk beds in a female dorm. The shared bathroom was clean and hygienic, with provided toiletries. The location was fantastic, right in front of the train station, making day trips into Taroko Gorge easy. Mr. Chen, the host, was amazing and welcoming, providing bikes for us to ride and even inviting us to join his friends for fruits and beer.
