I recently had an exceptional stay at a hotel located next to a beautiful beach. The staff were fabulous and very attentive. The hotel is within a quick walk to the beach and a 20-minute stroll to other busier locations. The room was comfortable and clean, with a nice balcony and terrace. The service was great, with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel also has two pools and a peaceful garden for relaxation. The hotel restaurant served delicious food and drinks.

The covers on the beach beds need replacing, as they are looking a bit tired.

As foreign tourists, we loved the personalized service and newly furnished rooms with a Swedish touch. The breakfast in the garden was a unique experience, and the proximity to one of the best beaches in Zanzibar was a major highlight. The owners and staff were incredibly hospitable and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The cleanliness of the rooms and the delicious food, particularly the chicken curry, surpassed our expectations. the fair prices and away-from-mass-tourism location made Aluna Nungwi a lovely refugium for us.

From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The owner, Caroline, was incredibly warm and gave me wonderful travel advice. The rooms were well-equipped and impeccably clean. I particularly loved the refreshing towel and fresh juice I received at check-in, a small detail that made a big impact. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, with a variety of options including eggs cooked to perfection. I also had lunch and dinner at the restaurant, and the meals were the best I had during my time in Zanzibar. The location of the hotel, just a short walk from the beach, was ideal. I enjoyed taking leisurely strolls along the shore and exploring the nearby area. Aluna also offered TukTuk services for a great price, which was convenient for exploring Nungwi and Kendwa. The organized trips provided by the hotel were a great addition and made it easy to experience the best of the area. Despite a small inconvenience with the open bathroom door in my room, which required a level of intimacy with my travel companion, I found the overall experience at Aluna to be exceptional. The welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food, and convenient location all contributed to a truly memorable stay. I highly recommend Aluna to anyone visiting this beautiful destination in Zanzibar.

I had a fantastic stay at Aluna in Nungwi! The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The smaller size of the hotel gave it a boutique feel which we really liked, and the Tuk Tuk service provided was convenient and affordable for getting around. The room was clean and had AC and a fan, and the beautiful garden and pool areas were perfect for relaxation. The staff were helpful and even arranged massages for us. The location, although slightly away from the main strip, gave us a glimpse of the real Zanzibar and the nearby beach was within walking distance.

The only thing that could make the breakfast better was having more tables available as the hotel got busier.

The leisure facilities include a spacious spa & wellness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, and beach access.

The staff were amazing, making us feel special and ensuring our experiences were always positive. The hotel facilities were stylish and comfortable, with beautiful rooms overlooking the swimming pool and lush greenery. The food was delicious and the chef accommodated my vegan diet needs. The location was perfect, being close to the beach and away from the busy hustle and bustle area.

Had an amazing thanksgiving holiday at a hotel by the beach! Loved the healthy breakfast and the friendly staff who made sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. the hammocks in the garden were the best spot for relaxing with a good book. Plus, the swimming pool and beach were just a short stroll away. the nearby touroperator made it easy for us to book some fun activities. Also loved the complimentary shuttles to and from the airport, which saved us lots of hassle.

The journey to the hotel was a bit rough and took longer than expected. Some of the local restaurants didn't offer much in the way of local cuisine, and instead had more continental options at higher prices.
