I recently stayed at a beachfront hotel in Zanzibar for a week. The view from the hotel was absolutely stunning, with the turquoise blue sea right on my doorstep. The staff at Helwas Beach were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome throughout my stay. The rooms had a cozy and authentic African vibe, which I really appreciated as a European. The garden was beautifully landscaped with gorgeous plants and scented flowers, and I even had the pleasure of enjoying fresh coconut water from one of the trees scaled by a staff member. The hotel also had solar power in some areas, which was a fantastic eco-friendly feature. it was a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience.

I had an amazing stay at Helwas Zanzibar Beach! The coral reef just in front of the hotel was a paradise for snorkeling, with beautiful fish and marine creatures. The owner, Ursula, and her partner, Jeoffroy, were always friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. I particularly enjoyed the live music entertainment during dinner, adding a special touch to our evenings. The location was perfect, just a short bike ride away from the vibrant Paje water sport clubs and nightlife. I highly recommend Helwas for those seeking both active and tranquil moments during their stay. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Our stay at Helwas was amazing! The owner, Helwa, went above and beyond to help us when our luggage was delayed, even driving us to Stone Town. The staff was incredibly helpful and not pushy at all. The location was perfect, close to Paje but away from the busyness. The food was delicious, and the beach and palace were quiet and relaxing. We would easily give it a 4/5 rating.

As a solo traveler, I found Helwas Zanzibar Beach to be the perfect getaway. The staff was welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. The bungalows were cramped and had limited amenities. the air conditioning was unreliable and did not work properly on some nights, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably.
