The hotel was clean and had great facilities with parking available. It was located right on the coast, directly in front of the beach. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was tasty.

We had a lovely romantic escape at this hotel. the beautiful garden filled with plants and trees created a peaceful and serene atmosphere. the close proximity to the beach allowed us to take romantic walks along the shoreline and enjoy the stunning views. Additionally, the friendly staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to ensure our comfort.

The surroundings are well-maintained, with comfortable and clean accommodations. The staff is polite and helpful. The food is plentiful and delicious. The owners offer good advice for a solo trip. The beach is similar to Paje, with a local atmosphere and a chance to observe undisturbed local life.

The location of this hotel is stunning, overlooking a bay that is quite secluded. The spacious garden surrounding the hotel is idyllic, with old and high trees providing shade and a really nice atmosphere. The rooms exude the naturalness of the area, being built from woods crafted by neighboring villagers. They are scattered in a garden that feels almost like a jungle, surrounded by beautiful vegetation. The rooms themselves are nice, quite big, and clean, offering all the comforts you need for a relaxing stay. The breakfast here was wonderful, with a plate of fresh fruits and a breakfast cooked to your liking, accompanied by freshly baked bread. The spiced coffee and other interesting options gave a touch of Indian influences to the meal, while the overall deliciousness of the food, including the fresh fruit and traditional breads, left us satisfied every day.

This hotel is a hidden gem in a wonderful natural setting. The location, right on the beach and nestled in a spacious garden, is absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of air conditioning for those hot Zanzibar days. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. And let's not forget the breakfast, with freshly baked bread and delicious traditional Zanzibar coffee – a perfect start to the day.

Complimentary tea, coffee, and water all day was a nice touch. The pool was big, clean, and perfect for a refreshing swim. The staff was friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The place had a bit of a run-down look and could have been cleaner. The water pressure in the shower was almost non-existent, which was quite inconvenient.

The water pressure in the hotel was a bit low, but it didn't really hinder my stay. the hotel was a bit isolated, but the staff were happy to arrange anything I needed and there were boat tours available from the hotel.

The staff at Mangrove Lodge went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable. When there was a power outage, they immediately addressed the issue and made sure I was comfortable. They even provided me with a candle so that I didn't have to stay in the dark. The surrounding gardens were absolutely stunning and created a peaceful atmosphere. The pool and beach were also wonderful amenities to have. The food was delicious and I loved that they changed the menu daily to offer fresh dishes. I had a fantastic experience at Mangrove Lodge and would highly recommend it.

The two complementary drinks upon arrival were nice and refreshing. the hotel's location near the beach and shops was ideal for exploring the area. Plus, the pool was a great way to cool off in the heat.
