The double bed in the 5/6 bed hostel exceeded our expectations - so comfortable and private. The owner was accommodating and the local food nearby was delicious. Highly recommended.

The hostel is well situated near the old town, just a short walk from the South Gate. It is also conveniently located next to a food market where we enjoyed some of the best Thai food in all of Thailand. it is right on the Saturday night bazaar, perfect for exploring local culture and shopping.

The hostel could improve on cleanliness in the washroom. In one of the reviews, there was mention of clothes including underwear being left there for two days, indicating a lack of attention to cleanliness in that area.

Loved the outdoor pool, perfect for a quick dip. Free parking was a plus. Oh, and don't miss the delicious meals at the on-site restaurant.

Who needs towels anyways? I enjoyed drying off with my own personal collection.

I loved everything about this hostel! The location in the middle of the night market was perfect. The price was great and the bed was comfortable. The management staff were extremely helpful and hospitable. They offered hot water and the showers had good water pressure. I highly recommend this hostel!

For the price we paid, it was definitely a steal! The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. The location was perfect, with the beautiful Silver Temple just a short walk away. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

I stayed at Happy House for a few nights while exploring the city. The location is perfect, right by the Saturday night market. The owner was extremely helpful and arranged a taxi for my early airport ride. The beds were comfortable and each had a nice curtain for privacy. I loved the unique staircase to the upper bed. The cleanliness was top-notch, with daily cleaning and soap provided in the showers. The complimentary breakfast and coffee were a nice touch. a fantastic find for an affordable price.

Happy House Hostel was a great place to stay in Chiang Mai. The beds were comfortable and had thick curtains to block out light. Each bed had its own light, plugs, and cupboard, providing convenience and privacy. The air conditioning worked well, ensuring a comfortable stay. The hostel also offered amenities like a fridge, microwave, and tea/coffee facilities. Additionally, there were games and sitting areas both inside and outside the hostel. The location was fantastic, with a five-minute walk to the old city and being right by the night food market and Saturday walking market.

happy house made my stay in chiang mai even better than my last one! the location is super strategic and the hostel has everything i needed. the owner helped me save money on atm fees and the dorm bed was comfy with privacy curtains. totally recommended!

The value for money at Happy House was excellent, with a comfortable and clean room. The location was convenient, close to street food and local markets, and the owner and staff were kind and helpful throughout my stay.

We had a great experience at Happy House! The room we stayed in had only one other person and there was a nice level of privacy with separate curtains for each bed. The staff was friendly and the owner was especially helpful, providing us with advice for tours and a cooking class. The beds were spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the main town. Happy House offered great value for money and I highly recommend it!

I got great value for my money at this hostel. The room was comfortable with privacy curtains and a cozy bed. The location was perfect, right in front of the bustling Saturday market and with convenient access to a 7 eleven and night market for delicious cheap food. The staff, especially the friendly owner, took good care of everyone and made me feel welcome.

As for breakfast, I wish there were more options available.
