montalay beach resort - sha plus exceeded our expectations during our honeymoon in koh tao. the staff are lovely, the food is exceptional, and the resort is brilliant and clean. the coral was still beautiful in november and we saw so many stunning fish. we also loved star gazing on the beach at night.

The property is a bit secluded, so if you're looking to explore the island, it may be challenging without a vehicle. Oh, and the Wi-Fi connection was spotty at times.

The hotel had an awesome water sports centre where we could go snorkelling and try out scuba diving. The snorkelling by the beach was mind-blowing, we saw so many cool fish and coral reefs. And guess what? They even had a kids' playroom with loads of cool games and toys! We had a blast!

The only thing we wished for was a livelier nightlife scene. It would've been awesome if the hotel had a cool party area or a beach bar where we could hang out and have some fun with other young people.
