I spent my Christmas holidays at a hotel in Trabzon that ticked all the boxes for me. the rooms were sparkling clean, and the staff went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. I particularly liked the big screen TV in my room, which had a lot of Turkish channels. There was also a lovely lounge downstairs where they served delicious breakfast every morning. the location of the hotel was perfect as it was situated close to many restaurants and markets, and the minibuses just outside the hotel entrance made it easy to get around.

That the room was quite small, and there was no in-room safe. the location outside was not very attractive for a walk around and was not close to the city center.
