We had a fantastic stay at Lake Nyamirima Cottages. The location is absolutely magnificent, with a view overlooking a small volcanic lake on top of a crater. The cottage provided was spacious and comfortable, with two beds. The surroundings were serene and not crowded, offering a peaceful and solitary experience. The path to the lake was pleasant, and we enjoyed swimming in the morning. The hot water for showers was heated using firewood in metallic barrels, giving the water a pleasant smell of wood smoke. The owner, Mr. Boneface Godiana, was attentive and helped us with organizing our trip. The local guide was friendly and helpful as well. We highly recommend experiencing the coffee experience, local dancing, and buying double-distilled gin from the banana man.
