Our stay at the Island Retreat was absolutely wonderful. The house was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a perfect Christmas break. We were pleasantly surprised to find a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and a thoughtful gift waiting for us, which made us feel right at home. The location of the house was fantastic, within walking distance of the local pubs, the church where we enjoyed carols on Christmas Eve, and even the Boxing Day dip that some of our family members braved. Our 2-year-old son was thrilled with the incredible trampoline on the property, which kept him entertained throughout the entire week. We also appreciated our host's recommendations of places to visit and things to do, and his availability whenever we needed to get in touch. The only minor downside was that a few items mentioned in the description, such as a high chair and a washing machine, were not available. However, our host arranged for his cleaner to do our washing and provided a washing line, so it worked out fine. I highly recommend the Island Retreat for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.
