Stayed one night at Ailsa. Couldn't hear anyone, very peaceful. Tasty Scottish breakfast with Haggis. Owners were friendly and accommodating. Small but nice single room with kettle. Powerful shower. Early check-in. Located in quiet neighborhood near park, M&S foods, Tesco, and local pubs. Clean shower, toilet, TV with channels, and good heating. Safe location, 15-20 min walk to center. Included healthy breakfast.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at a guest house in a convenient location, close to public transport and not far from the city center. The room I stayed in was comfortable and had high ceilings, giving it a spacious feel. The breakfast provided was excellent, with a wide selection of hot and cold options. the staff was helpful and accommodating throughout my stay.

I did encounter one issue during my stay - the shower in my room was in need of renovation, with dripping water and mold on the surface.

I couldn't believe the value I got for my money at this cozy B&B. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities I needed. The location was perfect, close to the Botanic Garden and an easy walk to the city center. The staff were friendly and made me feel welcome throughout my stay.

The manager, Kenny, was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He went above and beyond to accommodate my early check-in and even packed me breakfast to go when I had to leave early. The hospitality was truly outstanding. The room was clean and nicely decorated, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this guest house for a great stay in the city.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The cleanliness was impressive, with the rooms and bathrooms spotless. The hotel facilities were excellent, with a TV that worked well and a large, quiet room overlooking a lovely garden. We found the location to be very convenient, with bus stops at the end of the road and the city centre within walking distance. The breakfast provided was outstanding, with a wide variety to choose from including fruits, cereals, pastries, and a delicious cooked breakfast. The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient.

The guest house is conveniently located, just a short walk from the city center, making it easy to explore Edinburgh's main attractions. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, providing a relaxing atmosphere for families. There is a well-stocked supermarket nearby, perfect for picking up essentials. Additionally, bus stops are in close proximity, allowing for easy access to other parts of the city.

The only downside is a small bathroom in some rooms, which might not be ideal for families with small children.

The staff at Ailsa Guest House were exceptional! They were friendly, helpful, and always available to assist with any questions or requests I had. The breakfast served in the lovely dining room was outstanding, with a wide range of options available. Despite being in an older building, the rooms were well-appointed and pleasant, with small amenities like a hair dryer and space heater. The guest house is located in a beautiful neighborhood, and it's only a short walk to Princes Street, where you can find coffee shops, restaurants, and markets. I had an excellent stay and would highly recommend Ailsa Guest House.

Even provided a map and packed breakfast to go for early flight. Great wifi. Will definitely return.
