odd local pub experience

We had a fantastic stay at Alder River Lodge for a luxury hot tub break. The location was perfect, nestled in the peaceful Clun Valley with stunning views of the river and surrounding hills. The lodge itself was equipped with everything we needed, from fresh towels to a well-stocked kitchen. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive, ensuring that any issues were promptly resolved. It was a true home away from home, and we made the most of the beautiful surroundings by going for walks and visiting the local pub, which served excellent ale. We would definitely visit again.

The lodge was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed. The private outdoor terrace and log fire added a cozy touch to our evenings. The location was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the river and surrounding hills. We enjoyed exploring the local trails and the nearby Hundred House Inn served delicious meals. Despite a few minor inconveniences like having to ask for the key code and driving to get around, our overall experience was exceptional. We highly recommend this lodge for a relaxing getaway.

A peaceful and beautiful location, perfect for a relaxing Christmas getaway. The lodge provided a cozy and comfortable home away from home. Despite the stormy weather, the lodge was like a big hug, keeping us safe and warm. The hosts were absolutely wonderful, accommodating our need for extra time on our departure day due to car troubles. The lodge was a great base for exploring the surrounding area of Shropshire.

The only pub within walking distance was a bit odd, but the lovely bar lady made up for it. The village is small, so a car is necessary to get around.

the stay at alder river lodge in clun valley was even better than my previous stay in craven arms. the location was peaceful and the lodge felt like a home away from home. the hosts were wonderful and accommodating, providing us with extra time when needed due to unexpected car trouble. highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

this place was incredible. the location, the seclusion, the cleanliness - it exceeded all expectations. the little homely touches for christmas made it even more special. plenty of appliances for cooking together and the bedrooms and bathroom were top-notch. would definitely visit again.
