the breakfast was terrific, a full course breakfast that was delicious! the hosts were very welcoming and provided excellent information on local sites to visit. the building was fabulous, the rooms beautiful and comfortable. a warm welcome and a great night's stay. easy to find and surprisingly peaceful despite being close to a main road. a folder in the room with useful local information and interesting history of the building.

The location was fantastic, with easy access to Alnwick Castle, Lindisfarne, Cragside, and other attractions. Plus, they had an adorable assortment of cats, chickens, and sheep on the property.

The rooms are comfortable, with beds against the opposite wall rather than the sloping one, ensuring a restful sleep. Guests can enjoy the beautiful outdoor seating area, perfect for socializing or simply enjoying the view.

We stayed at a gorgeous and clean room in Alnwick Lodge. We were able to get an early check-in for a small fee, which was fantastic. the room, called the Hay Loft, had Velux windows with blackout blinds, perfect for those who prefer to sleep in darkness. the courtyard outside was peaceful, and we enjoyed reading our books there. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with plenty of options for vegetarians. the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.

Additionally, the location is ideal for exploring the Northumberland coast and is close to Alnwick, making it easy to find places to eat.
