The location of the hotel was absolutely stunning, surrounded by mountains and with clear views of the landscape. the staff were very warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. They were also very accommodating and helped us with our WiFi connection for a zoom meeting. Another advantage was the delicious food served at the hotel, beautifully cooked and presented.

The driving experience on the small roads leading to and from the hotel. We encountered some drivers who were either selfish or inexperienced at one track driving, which made it quite dangerous.

I had such a unique and magical experience at Altnaharra. The hotel's stately home charm and comfortable lounges with log fires created a cozy atmosphere. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The staff were attentive and friendly, making our stay even more special. The evening meal and breakfast were both excellent, with gourmet food and a good selection. The hotel's location was also lovely, with the opportunity to see deer outside in the evening. It truly felt like a hidden gem.
