I stayed at Alveston House for one night to break a long journey, and I was thoroughly impressed. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful, offering to carry my luggage since I wasn't feeling well. The dining room had beautiful decor with brass fittings that caught the Spring sunshine. Our room had a massive and super comfy bed, with an extra bed provided for our 3-year-old at a minimal cost. The hotel welcomed our whole family, including our spaniel, and the lovely garden was a bonus. the hotel and its environment helped lessen our stress during our stay.

I recently stayed at a charming hotel called Alveston House during my trip. The experience was wonderful, from the moment I arrived until the time I checked out. The room, an executive double, was beautifully decorated and maintained at a comfortable temperature. The hotel had ample on-site parking, which was very convenient. Additionally, they had a lovely enclosed rear garden. What impressed me even more was their pet-friendly policy, as they allowed dogs without any additional charges. They even provided a bowl and treats for my furry friend, making them feel truly welcome. All the staff members were friendly and helpful, ensuring that my stay was enjoyable. The receptionist was particularly helpful, and the entire bar and restaurant staff were attentive. The highlight of my stay was the delicious pudding served in the restaurant. it was a tranquil and pleasant experience.

I recently stayed at Alveston House for the second time and had another great experience. The staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful. The hotel is conveniently located for my needs and has ideal parking. The food on my first visit was delicious, and the dining room was lovely. The bedrooms and bathrooms, although a bit outdated, were comfortable and clean.

We got a great value for our money at Alveston House. The room was beautiful, clean, and had comfortable bedding. The location was lovely and the staff treated us very well, especially Kyla the receptionist who went above and beyond for us.

The menu for breakfast could use some improvement, with more variety and better presentation of the food.

The Sunday lunch at the hotel was very pleasant, with a choice of roast options that were well cooked and tasty. The staff were attentive and made us feel well looked after. The hotel is located in a beautiful old building, with a good-sized car park.

The room we stayed in had some issues. The wallpaper was peeling off, the room was small and difficult to move around in, and the wardrobe was too small to properly accommodate our belongings.

The free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms and the Freeview TV were great, just like being at home. , the staff were very helpful and willing to assist with our luggage without hesitation.

the breakfast service felt a bit inconvenient. I would have preferred a help-yourself buffet instead of waiting like in a restaurant.

We had a lovely stay at Alveston House. The breakfast menu had plenty of choices and the cooked breakfast was delicious. Our room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. Despite the cold weather, the hotel was warm. The staff were friendly and helpful, even offering to carry our luggage. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a dog food mat, bowl, and treat provided for our furry friend. It's great that they didn't charge extra for pets unless there was damage. Additionally, the hotel was accommodating to our request for adjacent rooms. We would definitely recommend others to stay here.

The hotel could use some cosmetic upgrades, as certain areas appeared worn and in need of refurbishment. the bed was a bit springy for personal preference, although the pillows provided were comfortable.
