Lovely hosts and serene atmosphere make for a delightful stay

the peaceful and quiet surroundings provided a relaxing retreat, ensuring a good night's sleep in the comfortable beds. the easy walk to town was convenient, and the delicious breakfast served was a perfect start to the day. the only small drawback is the hilly terrain typical of Dartmouth, but that's a minor inconvenience compared to the overall wonderful experience.

Great hosts, excellent breakfast choices, comfortable rooms with a fridge, 5-minute walk to the center, free onsite parking. Highly recommended, deserves a 10/10!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy bed & breakfast. the owners, John and Barbara, were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Our deluxe double room was spacious and clean, with thoughtful touches like tea, coffee, and chocolates. the breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and we loved the system of pre-ordering our meal for the next morning. the location was perfect, with easy access to local restaurants, shops, and bars. We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Anchor House Bed & Breakfast.

Additionally, the location of Anchor House was very convenient, with Dartmouth quay just a short 10-minute walk away.

Didn’t dislike anything about the property.

The room was really clean and well appointed. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They even provided a fridge in the room with fresh milk and cold water, which was great. The location was also convenient, just a short walk to the waterfront.

There were some issues that affected my overall experience. The bathroom in the room was quite small and lacked hooks and shelves for storage.

I was impressed by the room amenities, which included ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, and free Wi-Fi. The room itself was clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. I also appreciated the free toiletries and the fact that there was a refrigerator in the room. this place exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it.

The breakfast was good and the room had a nice bed. the location was close to the town center and the parking was convenient.

The room was small and cluttered, and the bathroom was not very clean. the staff was not very friendly or helpful, and they didn't seem to care about our comfort.

The hotel is conveniently located near all the shops and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. John and Barbara are welcoming hosts who make the mornings enjoyable with their friendly conversations. The rooms are comfortable and clean, providing a good night's sleep. The breakfast is freshly prepared and satisfying, ensuring guests start the day off right. Guests also appreciate the hot chocolate sachets and extra blanket provided in the room.

The hotel may have hills and steps, which can be a challenge for some guests.
