staying at augill castle was like a fairytale. the place is tucked away in a wooded area - making it super clean and peaceful. the staff were friendly and welcoming - with excellent service. being able to freely explore the castle and grounds felt like an insider's local experience. and the breakfast? top-notch!

Just returned from a wonderful stay at a unique castle. the location was perfect, with nearby towns to explore. the breakfasts were delicious with a wide selection. We even got to enjoy an excellent afternoon tea and take away leftovers. the staff went above and beyond, providing us with a light dinner when we couldn't manage a full meal. the dinner we had on our second evening was outstanding and reasonably priced. the room was comfortable, with a spacious bathroom and a lovely view of the garden. We also enjoyed the relaxing lounges and the laid-back atmosphere. It was exactly the break we needed.

From the ironing facilities to the tea and coffee making facilities, everything was provided. The sitting area in the room was a nice touch, and we also enjoyed the terrace and dining table outside. The fact that there was free Wi-Fi in the rooms was a bonus. We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

We loved the traditional atmosphere and the unique quirks that make this hotel stand out from others. the location was very convenient and easy to reach, with parking available. We also enjoyed the large shower and comfortable bed.

We wished there were more options for fresh air in the room. the net curtains in the bathroom made it tricky to use after dark.
