The location of the guesthouse is absolutely ideal. Situated close to the river, it's just a short walk down to-and-along the river into the town centre. The room we stayed in was spacious and had a contemporary feel, with lovely Scottish touches throughout. The bathroom was clean and had nice little extra touches like robes. The service provided by the staff was excellent and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast offered a wide range of options and was delicious. we had a pleasant stay.

The heating in our room was a bit too warm and we struggled to adjust it to a comfortable level.

I stayed at Avalon for one night before exploring Loch Ness. The owners were accommodating with my late check-in and provided a well-stocked continental breakfast for my early departure. The room was lovely, comfy, and well-appointed. The added extras like a small fridge and little treats made me feel at home. The breakfast had a lot of options, including a Scottish breakfast. I would definitely stay at Avalon again.

The breakfast was top-notch, with plenty of options to choose from. The location was perfect for exploring the local area and we especially enjoyed the peace and quiet. The live and spacious living room was the perfect place to relax and unwind by the fire.

While there were no major issues during our stay, the location is a bit outside the city center , so it may not be the best option for those looking for a more lively atmosphere. the towels could have been a bit cleaner, as we found some hair on them upon arrival.
