This hotel was perfect for my stay, with comfortable rooms and lovely staff. The basic amenities were all provided and the central heating kept the room cozy. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the center of the city and the Fringe festival. Additionally, it was convenient being within walking distance to Waverley Bridge, where I could easily access hop-on hop-off bus services.

All was ok, although the breakfast options were limited to continental-style rolls, croissants, fresh fruit, and pastries. Some may prefer a cooked breakfast, but for me, the selection was plenty as I didn't want anything too heavy before exploring the city.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at a hotel in the heart of the city. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered our room and found a spacious sitting area with a cozy fireplace. The room was beautifully decorated and had a separate bath and shower, which was a nice bonus. Despite being on a busy street, we had a peaceful night's sleep thanks to the comfortable bed. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the main tram stop and city center. I highly recommend this hotel for its great value, cleanliness, and convenient location.

stayed at a hotel in edinburgh before and wasn't impressed. but this time i chose ballantrae and wow it was amazing! great location near the station, clean room, friendly staff, and yummy breakfast. exceeded my expectations!

I recently stayed at the charming Ballantrae Hotel in Edinburgh for a few nights. The location was perfect, situated in the heart of the city yet surprisingly peaceful. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist. I appreciated the flexibility of a late check-out and the option to store my luggage. The room itself was clean and elegant, with incredibly comfortable beds and a large mounted TV. The icing on the cake was the amazing view of the city from the room, making my stay truly memorable.

I had a great stay at a very central location, which was ideal for exploring the city. The staff were lovely and incredibly helpful throughout my stay.

The hotel is located in a great spot, within walking distance of the main attractions of the city and close to Waverly station. The staff were attentive and the rooms were clean, with some offering fantastic views over the Firth of Forth. The shower in our room was huge and even suitable for a wheelchair user.

The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the young man at reception. the room itself was very clean and had plenty of storage space. We were also treated to a stunning view of the city, with a beautiful panorama of Edinburgh New Town and the Forth across to Fife.

Our room was located in an annex, which meant we had to walk through the rain to get to the breakfast room. It wasn't a long walk, but it was still a hassle and we ended up getting wet.
