The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast menu was varied and delicious, with no complaints whatsoever. The location was perfect, with beautiful views and lots of outdoor space to explore.

The check-in time of 9pm caused some inconvenience, especially with traffic. It would also be helpful to have some lighting in the games shed for evening activities.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the tranquil surroundings and the peaceful countryside setting at Barker Stakes Farm. The clean and spacious rooms, along with the comfortable four poster bed, ensured a good night's sleep after a long day of hiking. The hot shower provided instant relief, and we enjoyed the outside decking area for relaxing and eating breakfast in the mornings. The well-maintained grounds and variety of animals added to the charm of the place.

We were pleasantly surprised by the plentiful supply of tea and coffee in the room. The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of options even for vegetarians like myself. The location was perfect for us, with a short taxi ride into town for a meal and a real Yorkshire pub experience. We also loved the fact that it was only a 5-minute drive to the steam train, which was a great attraction to visit.

The lounge area was also very nice, and the kids loved having a TV in each bedroom. The park/play barn, animals, and DVD selection provided plenty of entertainment. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the beautiful North Yorkshire area, including popular destinations like York, Whitby, and the N York Moors park. We were even welcomed by a barn owl on our arrival! The staff were welcoming, personable, and attentive to all our needs. The breakfast served in the large conservatory was delicious, with a special personal touch for each person. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, location, breakfast, and staff were all outstanding.

The highlight was definitely the cabin room upgrade with a kitchen, perfect for my weekend getaway. The mini farm, play area, and pool kept my kids entertained.
