The hotel is grand and impressive, with attractive grounds and ample parking. The room was spacious and immaculate, with luxurious bathrooms. The breakfast in the attractive dining room was excellent. The staff was pleasant, cheery, and helpful, especially the receptionist who showed genuine interest in our stay.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Lanark and had a wonderful experience. The Best Western Cartland Bridge Hotel was not only clean and comfortable, but it also had a charming character that is often sacrificed for efficiency. The room was spacious, lovely, and kept warm throughout my stay. The evening meal menu offered a variety of options at a reasonable price. The bedroom had everything I needed, including tea/coffee making facilities and toiletries. The staff were pleasant, helpful, and friendly in all areas. it was a delightful stay.

Lovely room and staff, shame about the dinner

The peace and quiet of the location was marvellous, providing a very restful atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the open fire in the entrance hall, which was very welcoming. Our room was spacious, although the bathroom was small in comparison. The staff at the hotel, especially the young lady at reception, were pleasant, cheery. We had a great conversation and she showed genuine interest in our activities during our stay. Despite the low number of guests, the staff remained attentive and charming. The building, although dated, had a charming and welcoming ambiance. The location itself was beautiful, especially with the snow.

The location of the hotel on a hot sunny afternoon was ideal, with a pleasant shallow uphill walk to the Train Station and convenient access to local buses, Banks, and Chemist. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the delicious breakfast served with big smiles made for a delightful start to the day. The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean, with plenty of hot water in the bathroom. The hotel also offered good parking facilities and was close to Garden Centers, making it a lovely area to explore.

The hotel would benefit from some upgrades to address worn-out carpets and curtains, as well as the cleanliness of the windows, especially in the rooms.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. Our room was cosy and very clean, and we were impressed by the hotel's grand and impressive exterior. The interior was equally impressive, with many original features. The breakfast, served buffet style with cooked-to-order eggs, was delicious. it was a first-class experience at Best Western.
